- Better energy efficiency! Energy efficiency is how well an air conditioner turns electrical power into cooling. It is measured as the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating. The higher the SEER, the less you can expect to pay to cool your house. Maintenance prevents SEER from dropping. Without maintenance, SEER will decline by 5% or more each year.
