Federal and Local Heat Pump Rebates for Burbank Homeowners
Through the Inflation Reduction Act and other similarly funded electrification programs, the government is offering substantial rebates and tax credits of up to $8,000 to Burbank homeowners replacing their old gas furnace or HVAC system with energy-efficient heat pump equipment. As an approved contractor, Kilowatt Heating, Air Conditioning and Electrical has facilitated over $300,000 in government rebate checks to our customers.
Burbank residents may also be eligible to take advantage of Burbank Water and Power's (BWP) recently introduced Residential Building Electrification (BE) Rebate Program. This program offers valuable rebates (on qualified electrification equipment and gas appliance conversions) to help offset the expense of buying and installing new heat pump systems and electrical appliances.
Depending on the specifics of your project, the following new HVAC installations may be eligible for a rebate under BWP’s program:
- Heat pump central HVAC systems
- Mini-split heat pumps
- Heat pump water heaters
- Heat pump clothes dryers
