Homeowners in Southern California don’t often consider the usefulness of a backup generator because this area doesn’t sustain the weather disasters usually associated with power outages, such as snowstorms, hurricanes, and tornadoes. Backup generators are something we tend to think the unfortunate folks on the East Coast and the frigid Midwest need to worry about, and they aren’t a major necessity here in Sunny So Cal.
