Somebody Loved This Dog, Was It YOU?

Thursday, December 3rd, 2015

In July,  we installed furnaces at Boxer Rescue in Encino, CA. The whole crew fell in love with the same sweet dog. Rooney is a big American Bulldog with a gentle personality. He came home with us to our office in Sherman Oaks when we finished the job and has quickly become a member of the family.

FullSizeRenderRooney is a happy guy who loves playing with his toys and belly rubs. He looks fierce, but has such good manners I know he must have been raised by someone who loved him. He’s sweet with our other dogs and is a great listener. He never has to be told twice to stop doing something. He even let me stick my fingers in his eye many times when he had an eye infection and never flinched or fought me.

I can’t help but wonder if someone is missing him.

If you recognize Rooney let us know. Maybe his original owner couldn’t keep him anymore but they may be happy to know that he is safe and loved.

Here is what we know about him:

  • He was found in San Bernardino about a year ago tied to a post. He has scars all over his head and body indicating he may have been used as a bait dog.
  • Weight: 125 pounds
  • Breed: American Bulldog
  • Markings: He is white with small black spots, a black nose and a round black spot on the top of his head.

Boxer Rescue Los Angeles

Friday, July 24th, 2015

This may have been one of the hardest jobs we’ve ever done. It wasn’t the electrical wiring or the air conditioning installation that was hard. It was leaving without a dog. Every Kilowatt installer who worked at Boxer Rescue fell in love with a dog there. If you are looking for a new family member, please check out the sweet boxers waiting for their fur-ever home at Boxer Rescue LA.
