Kilowatt Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical Earns Esteemed 2015 Angie’s List Super Service Award
Tuesday, January 26th, 2016Award Reflects Company’s Consistently High-Level of Customer Service.
Kilowatt Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical has earned the service industry’s coveted Angie’s List Super Service Award, reflecting an exemplary year of service provided to members of the local services marketplace and consumer review site in 2015.
“We love what we do,” says Dean Gilford, president of Kilowatt. “ Air conditioning is the number one energy expense for most Los Angeles homeowners. In fact, air conditioning can account for more than half the total electric bill. Switching to a more energy-efficient furnace or air conditioner pays for it’s self and saves money. But energy efficient equipment won’t save a penny if it’s not installed properly! That’s why all of us at Kilowatt, are committed to practicing the highest industry standards for HVAC installations, and repairs.”
Indeed, all of Kilowatt’s employees are independently safety-sealed, which means that they are professionally trained, background checked and drug tested. Kilowatt offers a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on their home services.
“Only about 5 percent of the Heating and Cooling companies in Los Angeles have performed so consistently well enough to earn our Super Service Award,” said Angie’s List Founder Angie Hicks. “It’s a really high standard.”
Angie’s List Super Service Award 2015 winners have met strict eligibility requirements, which include an “A” rating in overall grade, recent grade, and review period grade; the company must be in good standing with Angie’s List, pass a background check and abide by Angie’s List operational guidelines.
Service company ratings are updated daily on Angie’s List. Companies are graded on an A through F scale in areas ranging from price to professionalism to punctuality.

Somebody Loved This Dog, Was It YOU?
Thursday, December 3rd, 2015In July, we installed furnaces at Boxer Rescue in Encino, CA. The whole crew fell in love with the same sweet dog. Rooney is a big American Bulldog with a gentle personality. He came home with us to our office in Sherman Oaks when we finished the job and has quickly become a member of the family.
Rooney is a happy guy who loves playing with his toys and belly rubs. He looks fierce, but has such good manners I know he must have been raised by someone who loved him. He’s sweet with our other dogs and is a great listener. He never has to be told twice to stop doing something. He even let me stick my fingers in his eye many times when he had an eye infection and never flinched or fought me.
I can’t help but wonder if someone is missing him.
If you recognize Rooney let us know. Maybe his original owner couldn’t keep him anymore but they may be happy to know that he is safe and loved.
Here is what we know about him:
- He was found in San Bernardino about a year ago tied to a post. He has scars all over his head and body indicating he may have been used as a bait dog.
- Weight: 125 pounds
- Breed: American Bulldog
- Markings: He is white with small black spots, a black nose and a round black spot on the top of his head.
If you would like to rescue a pup, please visit Boxer Rescue LA!
- RESCUED!
- Going for a walk!
- Visiting with my friends.
- Chillin’
- Hanging around ….
- HAPPY!!!
