Why Spring Is the Season for a New Air Conditioning Installation

Monday, May 29th, 2017

ac-unit-from-topThe simple answer to the question, “When is the best time to have a new air conditioning system installed?” is “The moment you believe you need one!” You can have a new AC put in during any season, and considering how hot it can get around the year here in Southern California, you should never hesitate to schedule new air conditioning installation when your current one appears to be close to the end of its service life.

But when it comes to more general planning, we recommend spring as the ideal time for having a new cooling system put in. To arrange for a spring air conditioning installation in Studio City, CA or elsewhere in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, get in touch with our team today.

Why You Should Work with Our Professionals for AC Installation

air-conditioning-condensers-near-plantsTime to replace your old air conditioning system! Technically, BTUs are a measure of how much heat the AC can remove from the air—but the effect is the same as far your comfort is concerned.

But what about the two efficiency ratings you find on the list of an air conditioner’s stats, SEER and EER? You might know that the higher these numbers, the more energy efficient the air conditioner is. But what’s the difference between the two numbers? Why the extra “S” on SEER? What does it mean, and is it important?

When Jessica Franco came to Kilowatt a few years ago we knew right away that she was a keeper. Smart and curious about every aspect of heating, air conditioning, electrical and customer service, accounting, ordering parts… She’s amazing! In fact when our service technicians go for additional training she goes with them and takes the same classes they do. Many times Jessica can be heard talking a customer through an over-the-phone diagnosis of a problem. She is truly caring, organized, and the funnest perfectionist you could ever meet.
